Organic cane molasses are a byproduct of organically grown sugar cane, with a syrupy texture. The crystallized sugar is won by the factory. A liquid, syrupy product remains, which contains more than 50 percent sugar. The product can be used as a sweetener and as a binder of animal feed.
Organic cane molasses
One of the major liquid feeds in the organic feed industry are organic cane molasses. They are mainly used as a flavour enhancer and as a binder. The proportion of sugar can vary, depending on the wishes of the customer, between 51 and 58 percent. The high proportion of sugar provides a sweet taste and a better absorption of the feed. The viscosity structure makes it possible to press the biological cane molasses to solid chunks. It also ensures that the muesli does not decompose. Another benefit is that cane molasses provide enough moisture in the compound feed.
Features of organic cane molasses
The organic sugar cane molasses provide energy quickly. In addition, molasses are a good source of potassium. Potassium regulates a good water absorption by organs, bones and muscles. Proportion of organic cane molasses in feed concentrates: in most of the concentrates 2 to 8 percent organic molasses are added.
